Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize Oracle databases within our Azure Cloud environment. This role requires an individual with deep expertise in Oracle technologies, particularly in a Department of Defense (DoD) setting, ensuring compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other regulations. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Oracle Goldengate microservices, and cloud integration within Azure.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Oracle databases within the Azure Cloud, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
  • Implement and uphold STIG compliance across Oracle databases, conducting regular audits and updates to meet DoD standards
  • Manage Oracle Goldengate microservices environments for data replication and integration
  • Enforce database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management, adhering to DoD guidelines
  • Optimize database performance by monitoring, tuning, and proactive resource management
  • Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT security, application development, and cloud infrastructure, to support and enhance the overall database environment
  • Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and compliance activities
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must possess a DoD issued Active Secret Clearance
  • Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or higher IAT certification
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with experience in a DoD environment
  • Proven experience managing Oracle databases in Azure Cloud
  • Proficiency in Oracle database technologies like RAC, Data Guard, ASM
  • Strong understanding of Azure services and integration
  • Strong knowledge of DoD STIGs and RMF compliance frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certification
  • Azure certifications related to database management and cloud administration
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other Oracle management tools
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud-based architecture, particularly within Azure
  • Prior experience in implementing and managing microservices in cloud environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

The compensation range for this position: $95,000 - $135,000 annually.
